We printed rather late with our current issue, so our schedule was a little tighter this time. Big shout out to Michael Shook; we had a round of “where did the edits go?” and he was willing to log onto our production system and edit his latest article right in place for us.
We cover the wonderful farm of Kim Kambak, who was also incredibly helpful with answers and photos as an article about her farm came together. We often talk about how technology pushes us apart, but in this case it let us get help from our fellow islanders in the blink of an eye. They both have our gratitude.
This issue also touches on a new service for seniors, our latest feature of a local business, one of our own editor’s close encounters with a disturbed man, and lots of commentary concerning life, our island, and health. Recipes, native language, and even sea serpents.
Paid subscribers can read it (digitally) immediately, otherwise we’ll be posting online later tomorrow. Or read it in its physical form. In our 2+ years in the newspaper business, we’ve come to love that smell!
